We are focused on three main areas of work.

  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Including the delivery of collaborative workshops on swimming, empowerment and development; our award-winning blog that features ‘swimspirational’, awareness raising stories and advice from women who love the water (or perhaps didn’t but do now); and Swim Socials, bringing people together around their local pool or lido.
  • SWIM TEACHING: Including increasing water confidence for non-swimmers; learn to swim sessions; learning new strokes; and transitioning from pool to open water.
  • RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY: Including our @hydrocitizen project exploring whether a hydrocentric citizenry can help secure a sustainable future; providing consultancy on swimming to sports brands; participating in the All Party Parliamentary Group on Swimming; engagement on wider policy issues on drowning prevention, community cohesion, and access to and participation in swimming.
