Dancing Ledge. Getting sociable on the Jurassic Coast.

Camping near Langton Matravers for the Brownsea Swim, meant I was able to enjoy the walk down to Dancing Ledge tidal sea pool, a beautiful and popular spot  that’s  just a 20 minute walk down along the sea cliffs from Langton Matravers House car park.

It’s a place popular with rock climbers and accessing the pool itself also  requires a bit of a scramble.

A hot sunny day and the ledge and pool had a fair few visitors.

I enjoyed a dip in the pool (it’s just big enough for a sociable bob about with mates), and then leapt into the sea.

Two kayakers came by: “Are you out guiding today?” I asked .”No. Actually we’re kayaking around the coast of Britain” – But of course – how wonderful! You can follow Katie and Lee’s journey “Katie and Lee at sea” here.

I then got chatting to some divers who had been out catching their dinner, complete with harpoons, big beards, weight belts. It was all very 007.
